operational efficiency user experience (ux) design communication content management organizational design information architecture knowledge management workflow managementThe ICRC/CCBI is aiming to develop an internal wiki or collaborative knowledge base to enhance knowledge-sharing and streamline onboarding processes. As a nonprofit operating within the social economy, ICRC/CCBI collaborates with a diverse group of stakeholders, including collaborators, contractors, staff, volunteers, members, and partners. The current challenge lies in effectively managing and disseminating information across these varied groups to ensure consistent and efficient communication. The goal of this project is to create a centralized, user-friendly platform that will facilitate easy access to organizational knowledge, thereby improving collaboration and operational efficiency. This project will allow learners to apply their skills in information architecture, content management, and user experience design, ensuring the knowledge base is intuitive and accessible to all users.
Interns will help:
- Map out the structure and categories of the wiki based on organizational needs
- Gather and organize existing resources, tools, and documents
- Develop content and navigation guidelines to ensure ease of use
- Create visual diagrams or workflows where appropriate
- Propose systems for updating and maintaining the wiki over time
This project offers learners hands-on experience in knowledge management, collaborative documentation, and organizational design, while supporting a nonprofit committed to equity, access, and community-led transformation.
